The state of Kansas will be represented well at the 2013 NCAA Tournament. The Kansas Jayhawks could earn a No. 1 seed with a strong showing at the Big 12 Tournament, while Kansas State seems like a solid bet for a seed in the 4-6 range. Don't forget Wichita State, either, which figures to get an at-large bid.
According to the latest bracketology update from Chris Dobbertean of SB Nation, the Jayhawks will claim the second seed in the South Region. Kansas State is projected for a No. 4 seed in the Midwest, playing Louisiana Tech in the opening round. Wichita State is predicted to face UNLV as an 11 seed.
Joe Lunardi of ESPN seems a similar fate for all three schools. Kansas is the two seed in the South, Kansas State is the four out in the West Region, and Wichita State is No. 11 in the Midwest.
Over at CBS Sports, Jerry Palm has KU as the South's No. 2 seed. They would play Florida Gulf Coast in the second round, and assuming they won, they'd take on the winner of UCLA and St. Mary's. K-State is the fourth seed in the Midwest, while Wichita St. would take on Colorado St. in the 11/6 matchup.
