Its been an up-and-down year in the Big Ten for the fourth-seeded Michigan Wolverines, which were ranked No. 1 at a point this season. Meanwhile, it's been mostly up for the Kansas Jayhawks as they ran roughshod over the Big 12 during the conference season. When the two meet in the Sweet 16, it'll be as two teams rolling in the NCAA Tournament and looking to keep that momentum going.
It seems appropriate that such a huge matchup will take place in Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, home to the largest video board pretty much anywhere. Both teams score an awful lot of points, but it's Kansas that has a big advantage on the glass.
The Jayhawks already have a big feather in their cap with a win over the North Carolina Tar Heels and former head coach Roy Williams. Travis Releford has continued to play well throughout the tournament, posting double-digit scoring in each game so far. Michigan, meanwhile, cruised past South Dakota State and Virginia Commonwealth, and had at least two players cross the 20-point mark in each game. Glenn Robinson III and Tim Hardaway Jr. have been putting in yeoman's work for the Wolverines, while Mitch McGary has been solid as well.
