As expected, Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is out for Sunday's game. Brady Quinn will start.

The inactive lists for Sunday's game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been released. As many expected after last week's big hit from Haloti Ngata, Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is going to sit this game out. This will give Brady Quinn a chance to revive his career if he plays well in Cassel's absence.

Other inactive players for the Chiefs: wide receiver Devon Wylie, defensive back Tysyn Hartman, running back Peyton Hillis, defensive end Glenn Dorsey, center Bryan Mattison and linebacker Bryan Kehl.

For Tampa Bay, it's mostly young players on the inactive list. There's rookies Michael Smith, linebacker Najee Goode, Chris Owusu, tight end Danny Noble, cornerback Keith Tandy, second-year offensive lineman Cody Wallace and third-year linebacker Markus White.

The Chiefs are looking for a change of pace after starting the season 1-4. The Bucs are in a similar position. They had last week off, but Tampa hasn't won a game since its season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are rolling through the Missouri Tigers, 28-7 at halftime of Saturday's game. After rain delayed action for a while in the second quarter, play resumed and No. 1 Alabama maintained its level of dominance.

Since Alabama had already jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead, the teams just traded scores in the second quarter.

Eddie Lacy scored the first two touchdowns of the game for the Tide, one on a 73-yard run and the next on a short gain. T.J. Yeldon scored the next couple of touchdowns for Alabama which extended the lead to 28-0. The Tigers finally got on the board with a 98-yard kickoff return Marcus Murphy.

The Tide's dominance doesn't just show in the scoreboard. Beyond that, Alabama is crushing Mizzou in total yards (354 to 65) first downs (15 to 3), and despite having a pair of turnovers on fumbles lost, Alabama is still up big.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys went down 21-14 after the first quarter against the Texas Longhorns in Stillwater. At first, it seemed that the Longhorns' defense was going to be in for a long night after allowing Joseph Randle to break loose for a 69-yard touchdown run.

Randle broke tackles of two Texas defensive backs to get free down the left side. But the quarterback David Ash, Jaxon Shipley and the Longhorns had some offense in store. First Ash found Shipley for a 44-yard touchdown pass, right on the money, in the back right corner of the end zone.

Then Shipley found himself wide open on a blown coverage assignment by the Cowboys, which led to another touchdown pass from Ash, this time from 20 yards out.

The Cowboys tied the game after another missed tackle in the Longhorns' secondary

D.J. Monroe regained the lead for Texas with a 100-yard kickoff return, this time with the Cowboys missing a couple of tackles.

Tulsa survived a late scare from UAB to win their fourth consecutive game in a dramatic shootout on Saturday.

Tulsa avoided a scare against UAB Saturday, pulling off a 49-42 victory in what was a shootout from the beginning between the Conference USA opponents.

Tulsa running back Alex Singleton scored the game-winning touchdown with 6:35 left to play. UAB could not counter.

There were 35 total points scored in the first quarter alone, with Tulsa outscoring UAB, 21-14.

UAB struck first with a 75-yard touchdown pass from Austin Brown to Jamarcus Nelson. Tulsa responded quickly, but the Blazers scored again to take a 14-7 lead against the favored Tulsa.

Singleton ran for a pair of touchdowns for the Golden Hurricane in the opening period, while Cody Green and Willie Carter connected on a 21-yard touchdown pass for the team's third touchdown. It was back-to-back scores from Singleton and the pass to Carter that gave Tulsa its first lead of the game.

The Blazers tied the game early in the second quarter, but Green was successful on another touchdown pass, then rushed 45 yards for another to give Tulsa a two-touchdown lead.

After trading scores, UAB went on a run to threaten Tulsa. Darrin Reaves, who finished with three of the Blazers' touchdowns, capped a seven-play, 51-yard drive with a short touchdown run, which was followed by a 50-yard pass, again from Brown to Nelson, which led to a tie score with nine minutes left to play.

That's when the Golden Hurricane marched down the field for the game-winning drive.

Box Score Hero: For Tulsa, Trey Watts had the most yards on the ground (93 yards), but Singleton had the three touchdowns.

But Did They Cover? Tulsa was a 14-point favorite against UAB, but only managed to win by a touchdown.

Next Week's Schedule: Tulsa at Marshall / UAB vs. Southeastern Louisiana

The Kansas City Chiefs scored 21 unanswered points in the second half and overtime of Sunday's 27-24 win against the home favorite New Orleans Saints. As a result, the Saints are still winless three weeks into the 2012 season and the Chiefs picked up their first victory of the season.

New Orleans was in control all the way up until the end of the third quarter when the Chiefs started to make their rally. Jamaal Charles, who posted an insane 233 yards on the ground Sunday, ran for a 91-yard touchdown to chip into the Saints' lead.

The Saints' offense became stagnant, and Ryan Succop converted on a couple of field goal attempts to help the Chiefs get back in it. Then there was the Drew Brees safety that brought Kansas City within just three points of tying the game.

Succop hit the game-tying field goal (43 yards) in the fourth quarter, and the winner (31 yards) in overtime.

Fantasy studs/duds: If you don't have Charles on your fantasy team, you're out of luck because he went off for 233 yards on Sunday. Succop would've worked for kickers, too.

Odds/Gambling: This was actually an upset. The Saints were nine-point favorites to beat the Chiefs and were well on their way to exceeding that spread until the 21 unanswered points by Kansas City.

Injury info: Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster left the game with an elbow injury and his status is unknown.

The New Orleans Saints lead the Kansas City Chiefs at the end of the third quarter, as they have the previous two quarters on Sunday. After the Saints took a commanding 24-3 lead in the third, Kansas City cut into the deficit with its first touchdown of the game -- a 91-yard run by Jamaal Charles.

That left the score at 24-13 at the end of the third quarter. The Saints have had the advantage for the entire game, but the Chiefs' offense is picking up and could make a rally in the final period. In fact, the Chiefs opened the fourth quarter with a 34-yard field goal by Ryan Succop to trim the Saints' lead.

New Orleans is now up 24-16. That's 13 unanswered points by the Chiefs.

Some unfortunate news for the Chiefs was Dexter McCluster going out with an elbow injury.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster injured his elbow in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Before going down, McCluster had contributed 28 receiving yards on three catches, as well as a five-yard run. In the third quarter of Sunday's game, the Chiefs trail the Saints 17-6. Both teams, with 0-2 records, are looking for their first win of the season

Throughout his career, McCluster has been used as a running back and wide receiver. Last season, he was a full-time running back for the Chiefs but has made the switch back to receiver. For the season, McCluster has 142 receiving yards on 13 catches.

The hole for the Missouri Tigers just gets deeper with each quarter as South Carolina took a 28-3 lead against the Tigers in the third. It had been a quiet quarter for the most part, but South Carolina found an opening in Missouri's secondary for a 13-yard touchdown pass from Connor Shaw to Rory Anderson.

Aside from the 22-yard field goal that gave Mizzou its only points of the day, the Tigers have struggled mightily on offense. Mizzou only has 150 total yards after three quarters, compared to the Gamecocks' 336 total yards. Actually, South Carolina has almost 100 more passing yards than Mizzou does total.

It's going to take a dramatic turnaround for the Tigers to climb back into the game.
