Petersburg, Va. prep point guard Frank Mason will make an official visit to Kansas on Thursday, according to KUSports.com's Gary Bedore.
Mason is a 6'0, 170-pound scorer who averaged 27 points per game for Petersburgh High School. He is a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, and is ranked No. 131 nationally. Mason initially committed to Towson University before deciding to go to Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Va. for academic reasons.
Mason is also considering Providence, Rutgers, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. His trip to Lawrence comes on the heels of the Jayhawks scheduling a visit from Roddy Peters, who is the Class of 2013's No. 39 player. In addition, the Jayhawks have remained high on the lists of top-ranked Julius Randle and eighth-ranked Julius Randle, both of whom recently trimmed a few teams off of their lists.
The Jayhawks have already received commitments from four-star recruits Conner Frankamp and Brannen Greene.
