Predicting The AFC West: Chiefs Schedule Eases Up; Chargers Does Not

New, 11 comments

Here's a look at who's playing who over the next month in the AFC West.

The AFC West is probably the second worst division in football behind the NFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs are the leaders at 3-2 while the others all sit at 2-4.

The next month of the AFC West schedule will give us a better idea of how this whole thing will play out. Here's a look at the next month for the AFC West.

Kansas City Chiefs (3-2)

The Kansas City Chiefs schedule is looking very nice right now. They have seven consecutive games against teams like the ones above before they face the Chargers again. The Chiefs should be favored in a few of these games. What they need to do is build their AFC West lead so they can afford to tumble at the end of the season.

Prediction: 3-1

San Diego Chargers (2-4)

The Chargers are a frustrating team if you're a San Diego fan. They're better than their 2-4 record and being first in yards gained is evidence of that. They'll get back on track eventually. It just so happens that this is a very, very difficult stretch for them.

Prediction: 2-1

Denver Broncos (2-4)

The Broncos can throw the ball very well but they haven't been turning that into wins. They're a decent team so they should be able to take care of business against Oakland and San Francisco. I'm a Chiefs fan so I can't pick them to beat Kansas City.

Prediction: 2-1

Oakland Raiders (2-4)

Can you pick the Raiders to win any of these games? They're so inconsistent. The quarterback situation is up in the air. The receivers aren't very good. There's no real reason to think the Raiders will make a run.

Prediction: 0-3
