The Kansas City Chiefs meet the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome and it is indeed Matt Cassel starting at quarterback for the Chiefs. The Chiefs deferred after winning the coin toss at which points the Rams went on an efficient 14 play, 53-yard drive that netted them a field goal.
The Chiefs got the ball back and quickly gave it back after three straight passes, which was a surprising series of calls considering Cassel's status. The Rams got the ball back once again and turned it into another three points on the foot of kicker Josh Brown's 52 yard field goal.
it's still early but the Rams offense looks solid against the Chiefs defense. Sam Bradford has completed 7-of-9 passes for 42 yards while Steven Jackson has seven carries for 23 yards.
It's been all Rams early on but they've yet to punch it in for a score.
