The Kansas City Chiefs 2011 NFL draft preparation continues at the 2011 Senior Bowl this week. While the Chiefs will talk with just about every player there, we're still tracking which ones they've been seen talking to in order to get a better handle on some of the prospects coming out.
Here are a few of the players the Chiefs have been seen talking to at the Senior Bowl:
Jason Pinkston: 6'3", 313 offensive tackle out of Pittsburgh. Projected as a second round pick.
Dwayne Harris: 5'10", 200 pound receiver out of East Carolina. He runs in the 4.5 40-yard dash range and is expected to be a fourth to fifth round pick.
Kris O'Dowd: 6'4", 303 pound center out of USC. He's projected as a mid round selection.
Bilal Powell: 5'10", 205 pound running back out of Louisville. He runs in the 4.5 40-yard dash range and is projected as a mid round pick.
Cameron Jordan: 6'4", 287 pound defensive end out of Cal. Projected as a first or second round pick.
Any of those names jump out at you? The center does, to me, because we're not sure where Casey Wiegmann stands. The running back does, too, because I thought the Chiefs may be drafting Thomas Jones' replacement. He has one year left on his deal.
