NFL Power Rankings: Kansas City Chiefs Rising Up Charts With Win Against Raiders

As Power Rankings start to come out today, you're going to see a familiar refrain: the rise of the Kansas City Chiefs

As Power Rankings start to come out today, you're going to see a familiar refrain: the rise of the Kansas City Chiefs. That should be expected, of course, as the Chiefs have won three in a row, including an impressive defensive shutout at division rival Oakland in which the KC defense looked unbeatable. Six interceptions will do that for you.

Boston's WEEI puts out a weekly power rankings and they have the Chiefs at No. 21 overall. They write, "It’s amazing that the Chiefs can actually be tied for first-place next week if they beat the Chargers. It was a terrible, injury filled month of September for the defending AFC West champs, but the Chiefs have bounced back nicely and now have won three straight games. They’ve improved in an array of areas. Defensively the Chiefs have allowed just 41 points in their last three games; they allowed 109 points in their first three games."

The Baltimore Sun doesn't rank anything past the Top 10, but it has the Chiefs as its "Biggest Rise" of the week. We'll continue to list new Rankings as they come out today.
