Four of the five experts over at CBS Sports are picking the San Diego Chargers to come into Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football in their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Only one, Pete Prisco, is willing to go against the grain as he sees the Chiefs coming out on top in the divisional contest.
Prisco writes, "The Chiefs have won consecutive games to get back into the AFC West race. San Diego is playing a second consecutive road game. That's tough. The Chargers have to get their passing game going and the Chiefs have struggled against the pass. I look for Philip Rivers to bounce back from his sub-par second half against the Jets. But San Diego's run defense is an issue and the Chiefs will take advantage of that."
That's a good point about the running game, but it's clear that the Chiefs are going to win through the air if it's going to come down to the offense. The defense won the game against the Raiders, but if the Chiefs offense comes alive in this game, it will likely be Matt Cassel beginning to find his receivers more and more -- guys like Dwayne Bowe and Steve Breaston and Jon Baldwin. Still Jackie Battle has done a fine job in relief of Jamaal Charles and he should also help the team's cause against San Diego.
