While the Kansas City Chiefs 22-17 victory over the winless Minnesota Vikings hasn't garnered the Chiefs much national acclaim, it was enough to put them above fellow AFC West bottom dweller Denver in CBS Sports Pete Prisco's NFL Power Rankings:
27 Chiefs · Trends 32 Hey, they showed some life against the Vikings. Too bad it could cost them a chance to get Andrew Luck.
The Broncos have allowed 111 points this season, fourth worst in the NFL. Of course, the Chiefs are still last out of all 32 teams with 126 points allowed, but at least Kansas City's fans aren't pining for Tim Tebow to save their season.
Next week's game at Indianapolis looms large for the Chiefs' season: a win puts them back in the midst of the AFC West while a loss to the Colts would put them in the drivers seat for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Week 17 features a Kansas City -- Denver game that could go down in the history books for all the wrong reasons.
