Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt released a statement on the Chiefs website about the passing of legendary Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, who passed away at the age of 82 early Saturday morning.

His competitive spirit helped develop the great rivalry our team and fans enjoy today with the Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs lead the regular season series 54-47-2 with the Raiders won the most recent meeting 31–10 on back on January 2nd, 2011 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Raiders and Chiefs will meet up for the first time this season on Sunday, September 23rd at the O.co Coliseum, and the Raiders will visit Kansas City on Christmas Eve.
