Broncos Champ Bailey Will Play Against Chiefs With Splint For Finger Injury

Champ Bailey will be hampered this week against the Kansas City Chiefs and, specifically, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Given the results the last time these two paired up, that's not a bad thing for the Chiefs Pro Bowl receiver.

Bailey has been practicing this week with a dislocated finger and thus he's been forced to wear a splint. The Denver Post reports, "He suffered a dislocated middle finger and a small fracture on the finger against the Raiders last Sunday. He has worn a splint on the finger this week but hasn't missed any practice time. He suffered the injury early in the game, when he knocked the ball away from Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford."

The last time the two matched up, Bailey held Bowe without a catch last December and it's a performance the Broncos will likely need again if they hope to leave Arrowhead with a win on Sunday.
