Chiefs Vs. Broncos: Derrick Johnson Against Willis McGahee Is 'Match-Up To Watch'

There are several interesting one-on-one match-ups that will undoubtedly occur all afternoon long when the Denver Broncos take the field at Arrowhead Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs. Champ Bailey will try to handle Dwayne Bowe. Branden Albert and Barry Richardson will try to handle Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller. But one match-up that's key, according to Doug Kretz of Scouts, Inc., involves the resurgent Willis McGahee and Derrick Johnson.

"McGahee showed that he has enough gas to carry the ball effectively for at least 20 touches and also has enough speed to take it all the way, as was evidenced by his 60-yard touchdown run against the Raiders," says Kretz. "Derrick Johnson leads the Chiefs in tackles and has a great nose for the ball. He also has enough speed to be effective in coverage. Johnson needs to get McGahee controlled before he gets to the open field or it could be a quick six."

Johnson was just named AFC Defensive Player of the Week two weeks ago.
