Those calling for the replacement of Matt Cassel as the starting quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs could be getting their wish. Kent Babb reports that Cassel left the stadium wearing a cast on his right hand Sunday.
Matt Cassel left the stadium wearing a cast on his right hand. Had index and middle fingers immobilized. Not good news for the #Chiefs QB.
Cassel, while talking to reporters, vowed to be ready to play in eight days when the Chiefs take on New England. If Cassel is unable to go then the Chiefs would turn to backups Tyler Palko or Ricky Stanzi.
Cassel had another tough day on Sunday against the Broncos as the Chiefs really struggled offensively. He finished an inaccurate 13 of 28 for just 93 yards and a fumble lost. He did connect on a touchdown pass Le'Ron McClain but the Chiefs struggled to protect him throughout the game.
