It makes a person look good if they're able to spot the upset on the horizon. But no one is predicting any such things at ESPN this week with their NFL picks as everyone has the Patriots over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. That's no surprise since the Chiefs won't even have their starting quarterback, Matt Cassel, due to a recent hand injury that required surgery. That means Tyler Palko is making his starting debut in the NFL on the biggest regular season stage.
The Patriots are coming in with some momentum after beating the New York Jets rather handily last Sunday. The Chiefs are beginning the most brutal part of their schedule with the Steelers waiting on Sunday night of the following week. Here's hoping the Chiefs can come out with an upset that no one saw coming, but it's very likely that both teams continue their current trajectory -- at least that's what everyone is predicting.
