Fantasy Football Sleeper: Deion Branch Listed As Bargain Against Chiefs

Most of the attention for fantasy (and real) football goes to either Wes Welker or Rob Gronkowski when it comes to analyzing the New England Patriots roster. But Pro Football Focus' Michael Waters says that Deion Branch is a nice name to grab off of the waiver wire for those needing a play this weekend. That's because they're playing the pass defense of the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

"Branch has been the low man on the totem pole this season for New England, as he’s third on the team with 58 targets (and would probably be fourth had Aaron Hernandez not gotten) but New England passes enough to keep him in the top-25 of total targets among wide receivers," writes Waters. "Branch and the Pats will be up against Kansas City and their 27th ranked pass defense by PFF’s standard. KC has been consistently bad in pass coverage, as they have been graded negatively in that category in 9 of their 10 games this season. Further helping his stock is the fact that Branch has scored TDs in four of his last six contests."
