If someone had mentioned before the season that 10 games into the NFL year, the Chiefs and Chargers would be tied, the Kansas City fan base would have likely been very pleased. The assumption, given the Chargers string of long-term success in the AFC West, is that the Chiefs and Chargers were tied atop the division. And therein lies the upside-down nature of the division this year, where the Broncos went from doormat to relevant in half a season, where the Raiders are leading the charge with memories of Al Davis on their mind and the two division favorites are wondering what went wrong.

Here's the latest AFC West standings:

AFC West Standings

W L T PF PA
Oakland 6 4 0 235 254
Denver 5 5 0 205 247
San Diego 4 6 0 236 259
