Chiefs Vs. Steelers: Tyler Palko Expected To Start Against Pittsburgh

Despite claiming Kyle Orton off of waivers from the Denver Broncos, it is still Tyler Palko that is expected to make the start for the Kansas City Chiefs in their Sunday night match up with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Orton was in line to practice with the Chiefs on Wednesday if he arrived in time and passed his physical. That would leave him a little more than two days to prepare for Sunday's game which would be quite a feat for any quarterback.

Palko got the start on Monday night and completed 24 of 37 passes for 230 yards but also threw three interceptions. The Chiefs offense managed just a field goal against the Patriots in the 34-3 loss. He said that Chiefs coach Todd Haley had not given him any indication as to whether or not the Chiefs would make a quarterback change.

"He didn't tell me either way,'' Palko said. "He just said we're going full speed ahead for Pittsburgh. I was in the huddle today calling plays and we have a really good plan. I'm fired up about it.''
