Kansas City's offensive struggles continue as they enter halftime trailing the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-6. Turnovers have hurt the Chiefs who turned the ball over three times in the first half.
A Tyler Palko interception at the end of the first quarter set the Steelers up inside the Kansas City 10 yard line with the Chiefs leading the game 3-0. Kansas City's defense would come up big and hold the Steelers to a game tying field goal.
Palko was intercepted again on the next possession and the Ben Roethlisberger would make them pay this time with a touchdown pass to Weslye Saunders for a 10-3 lead. Kansas City came back with a 49 yard Ryan Succop field goal to cut the lead to 10-6. Pittsburgh ended the half with a Shaun Suisham 49 yard field goal as time expired to extend the lead to 13-6.
Palko isn't endearing himself to Kansas City fans in the first half as he accounted for all three of the Chiefs turnovers. He completed 7 of 11 passes for 74 yards but has two interceptions and a fumble in the first half. Jackie Battle hasn't found much room to run on the ground finishing the half with 19 yards. Dwayne Bowe has three catches for 39 yards.
Ben Roethlisberger completed 14 of 20 attempts for 127 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Kansas City's defense has really done a nice job to hold the Steelers to just 13 points after the turnovers put them in some really tough positions.
