A Kansas City Chiefs season that was derailed by season-ending injuries to RB Jamaal Charles, S Eric Berry and QB Matt Cassel may have hit bottom in last week's 37-10 loss to the New York Jets, with the Chiefs offense managing only four total yards in the first half.
It was enough for embattled head coach Todd Haley to lose his job, as Kansas City slipped to 5-8 and are now No. 24 in SBNation's latest NFL Power Rankings:
24. Kansas City Chiefs (5-8, LW: 19): Like Miami, Kansas City is without a coach after firing Todd Haley. The immediate task is nearly impossible -- beat the unbeaten Packers on Sunday.
The week after you fire your head coach is probably not the best time to face the unbeaten Green Bay Packers, who raced out to a 31-0 first-half lead against the Oakland Raiders last Sunday.
At -132, the Chiefs have the fourth worst point differential in the NFL despite having 5 wins this season. After Sunday, it could be a lot worse.
