Kansas City Chiefs fans, there are certain things you can take away from analyzing your chances of selecting key personnel in the 2012 NFL draft:
1. The Chiefs will likely take an offensive tackle.
2. No one knows what tackle who the Chiefs will actually take but the Chiefs.
Sources had previously connected the Chiefs to take Iowa tackle Riley Reiff and USC tackle Matt Kalil. Now? Per ESPN's Todd McShay, he likes Stanford tackle Jonathan Martin at projected pick No. 12:
McShay's take: I like this pick a lot. I think Martin may end up being a top-eight pick. The Chiefs will likely look at improving the offensive and defensive lines. Taking Martin would be a smart move. He has a chance to be a longtime anchor.
With the Chiefs shocking the world, defeating the Packers 19-14 on Sunday, Kansas City is still in contention to win the AFC West. Two games versus the Raiders and the Broncos could alter KC's draft pick in 2012.
