Chiefs Sign Linebacker Brandon Siller To A One-Year Extension

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Brandon Siller to a one-year extension.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they recently gave linebacker Brandon Siller a one-year contract extension. Siller missed the entire 2011 NFL season when he had surgery to repair his torn achilles tendon back in August during training camp. Siller came over from the San Diego Chargers and was performing well in camp and was competing for a starting spot before his injury. Prior to coming to the Chiefs, Siller had a solid 2010 season with the Chargers by having 38 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced safety.

Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli also will need to make some decisions regarding soon-to-be free agents wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, quarterback Kyler Orton and cornerback Brandon Carr.

The Chiefs made one other signing this week as they signed kicker Ryan Succop to a five-year extension worth $14 million.
