CB Brandon Carr, OT Barry Richardson Given RFA Tenders By Chiefs

Get used to CB Brandon Carr and OT Barry Richardson in Kansas City. The two players were offered tenders by the Chiefs on Thursday, according to a report from Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star.

Carr was issued a first round tender and Richardson a second round tender. What that means is that, whenever this labor deal gets done and things are normal again, a team can sign Carr or Richardson to a contract but they must give up the corresponding draft pick to the Chiefs.

It's unlikely either player draws attention on the restricted free agent market.

This makes the third player we've heard has received a tender along with DE Wallace Gilberry, who Teicher reports received a second round tender on Thursday.

The remaining Chiefs who are restricted or exclusive rights free agents are: LB Cory Greenwood, TE Leonard Pope, RB Jackie Battle, C Rudy Niswanger, QB Brodie Croyle, TE Brad Cottam, FB Mike Cox, FB Tim Castille, S Reshard Langford, CB Maurice Leggett, OT Ryan O'Callaghan and LB Corey Mays.
