NFL Schedule Release 2011: Will The KC Chiefs Get Any Primetime Games?

The 2011 NFL regular season schedule will be released on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. (CT) on NFL Network and NFL.com. We already know the Chiefs 2011 opponents but Tuesday evening's announcement will tell us the order in which the teams will play.

We'll also learn about the primetime games, or national TV games -- Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football, along with Thanksgiving.

The Chiefs had one primetime games last year -- Monday Night Football to open the season. This year, I would guess they have at least one primetime game and as many as three. Officially, my guess will be one primetime game.

So who could they play in primetime?

At home, I could see the Packers or Steelers ending up being a national TV game. Those are last year's two Super Bowl teams so they'll likely be featured plenty. The Chiefs could also face the Chargers in primetime again.

On the road, I could see the Patriots in primetime. The Chiefs have a lot of Patriots connections and this would be a game that I know a ton of fans in KC would like to see. My official guess of one primetime game is the Patriots.
