With the NFL's 2011 regular season in the books, the league announced the 2012 opponents for each team Monday morning.
In 2012, Kansas City and the rest of the AFC West will face the NFC South and the AFC North:
HOME GAMES: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Indianapolis Colts.
AWAY GAMES: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills.
The Chiefs went 3-1 against the NFC North last year, but the NFC South projects to be even stronger in 2012, with two perennial playoff teams (the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons) as well as two young teams with franchise QB's in Tampa Bay (Josh Freeman) and Carolina (Cam Newton).
The AFC North, meanwhile, features three 2011 playoff teams -- the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
