NFL Mock Draft 2012: Andrew Luck, Matt Kalil Sit Atop Mel Kiper's Latest Rankings

The first change this week comes with some momentum for Iowa tackle Riley Reiff, who has been linked to the Kansas City Chiefs in a few mock drafts. Reiff might be off the board too soon for the Chiefs at this point as he's now up to No. 7.

For those waiting for a new player to emerge and swiftly scale up the Big Board of Mel Kiper, now is not that time. Instead, that's likely to come nearer the late February NFL Combine instead of the early turn of the New Year. Instead, the familiar names that were on Kiper's list are there again with just a few changes along the way -- but with Andrew Luck and Matt Kalil of the Pac-12 dominating the top once again.

Luck is going to remain the top pick for the entire off-season unless something strange happens, as he should. Luck is likely already headed to Indianapolis, all formalities aside, and Kalil is likely the same at No. 2 to the St. Louis Rams. A bookend, Pro Bowl caliber left tackle is almost as valuable as a franchise quarterback, so the Rams need to protect the one they have.
