Chiefs reportedly add linebacker Brian Kehl

Linebacker Brian Kehl is reportedly a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

SB Nation blog Arrowhead Pride cites a couple of sources saying the the Kansas City Chiefs have signed linebacker Bryan Kehl. Kehl would seem to be a signing to help out the special teams, but would also add to a depth chart at inside linebacker that currently includes Derrick Johnson, Cory Greenwood, Jovan Belcher and Brandon Siler.

Kehl was drafted in 2008 by the New York Giants, with whom he spent two years before playing the St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins. He has one pick and 110 tackles for his career and had 15 tackles last year with the Rams.

The Chiefs have yet to announce the signing, nor who would be cut if they have indeed signed Kehl.

The Chiefs' defense currently ranks 13th in the NFL with 334.0 yards allowed per game. The host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in hopes to improve upon a 1-3 start to the season.
