2012 NFL Power Rankings: Chiefs near-consensus worst team in the NFL

If there are Power Rankings, the Chiefs are at the bottom of them.

So it's come to this. The Kansas City Chiefs, who haven't led in regulation all season, are the worst team in the NFL. So sayeth SB Nation in our latest Power Rankings, and others agree.

SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber writes that the No. 32 Chiefs should shake things up:

"32. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 31, 1-6): Welp, so much for Brady Quinn as the great white hope in Kansas City. At this point the Chiefs should probably trade Dwayne Bowe for a new general manager to use the draft picks."

CBS Sports and NFL.com also had the Chiefs at the bottom of their power rankings for the week. CBS' Pete Prisco puts the onus on head coach Romeo Crennel:

"It gets worse by the week. The coach doesn't even know why Jamaal Charles had only five carries? Inexcusable."

At 1-6, the Chiefs are tied for the worst record in the league with the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chiefs get the Thursday-night spotlight this week against the San Diego Chargers.
