Chargers injury report: Eddie Royal, Robert Meachem deplete receiving corps

Philip Rivers might be working with some targets San Diego signed this week

The injury report for the San Diego Chargers lists one doubtful player, wide receiver Eddie Royal, for Thursday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Receiver Robert Meachem and backup cornerback Chris Carr are listed as questionable for Thursday night.

Royal sustained a hamstring injury during Week 6 practice, but played in San Diego's 35-24 Monday night loss to the Denver Broncos. The injury kept him out of the Chargers' 7-6 loss to Cleveland last Sunday. Royal has 13 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown in the 2012 season.

Meachem took limited reps in practice on Tuesday and did not participate in Wednesday's practice, also due to a hamstring injury. He has 12 catches for 189 yards and two scores in 2012.

The Chargers signed two wide receivers this week to bolster their banged-up receiving corps. Danario Alexander was in training camp with St. Louis before getting waived in August. Seyi Ajirotutu played with San Diego in 2010 after he was signed from the practice squad.
