Chiefs vs. Chargers game carried locally on KSMO

AFC West game otherwise available on NFL Network

Peter Aiken

Thursday night's AFC West game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers will be televised locally in Kansas City on KSMO, channel 62. The game kicks off at 7:20 p.m. CT from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.

KSMO, which usually runs MyNetworkTV programming, is a sister station to CBS channel 5 (KCTV), which has carried Chiefs preseason games for the last 10 years. Since the NFL Network is not available on some cable networks, the NFL allows local networks to bid for broadcasting rights to the game feed in their market.

Brad Nessler and Mike Mayock will provide commentary in the booth, while Alex Flanagan is the NFL Network's field reporter. The Chiefs Radio Network will carry the game, with Mitch Holthus, Len Dawson and Kendall Gammon broadcasting. Nationally, the game is available over the air from Dial Global Radio. Ian Eagle, Trent Green and Scott Kaplan will call the action.
