Glenn Dorsey injury update: Chiefs DE ruled out vs. Steelers

The Chiefs defensive end just can't find a break in 2012 with another calf injury that will keep him out for Week 10.

Romeo Crennel opened his latest remarks to the press with the team's latest injury report heading into the football weekend as the Chiefs prep for the Steelers on Monday Night Football. Unfortunately for both the team and the player, Glenn Dorsey will be out for yet another week due to a calf injury -- although the team's head coach says that it's not the same calf as before.

Addressing the media, Crennel gave the overall injury report before also confirming that Dorsey was definitely out for Monday. He said the injury is different than the calf injury that limited Dorsey to three games played in the first half of the season.

"There's nothing really new on the injury front," said Crennel. "[Glenn] Dorsey, he's out, [Brady] Quinn is out, [Steve] Maneri is limited with his ankle and Branden Albert has some back tightness that is loosening up on him, and he's limited, but everybody else should be working.

"The only guy who is not there today is Jamar Newsome on our practice squad. He has a family issue he is taking care of, and he'll be back on Sunday. Otherwise, we're continuing to work, to prepare for Monday night and trying to get ready for that. That's been the focus and that's what we're doing."

Dorsey has 4 tackles in 4 games in 2012.
