Kansas City Chiefs fans have likely entered the mode of just hoping for the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. That's how badly 2012 has gone, and things don't figure to pick up this weekend when the NFL-worst Chiefs host the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Kansas City (1-9) is basically just serving the role of spoiler the rest of the year with no real hopes of making the playoffs. Knocking off the rival Broncos, who have Super Bowl aspirations in their first season with quarterback Peyton Manning at the helm, would at least give fans something to feel good about this holiday weekend.
Denver (7-3) is running away with the AFC West after a second win over the San Diego Chargers last week. Now Denver can set its sights on a first-round bye in the playoffs.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos meet at noon CT on Sunday in a game televised by CBS. Here is this week's full NFL schedule, which includes three games on Thanksgiving Day. All times are Central.
