The first 2013 NFL Mock Draft is finally out from SB Nation, and writer Matthew Fairburn has the Kansas City Chiefs taking a choice that will make every KC fan happy: Geno Smith. The West Virginia quarterback is considered the best pro prospect in the draft at his position, and the Chiefs should be so lucky to land his talents given their current depth chart.

Fairburn has Smith as the best quarterback in the class despite the lack of an obvious choice like years past. Still it's enough for what hte Chiefs need who are rolling with Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn at the moment. He writes:

The Kansas City Chiefs are starving for an NFL-caliber quarterback. Geno Smith is the best quarterback in this draft class. Although he is not in the same league as Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III as a pro prospect, Smith presents the most upside of any quarterback in this class and is worthy of the No.1 overall choice. While he tends to be hesitant with the football at times, Smith stands tough in the pocket and has the arm talent to hit all of his throws. He is also a quality athlete.

Smith is a 6-3, 214 lb. quarterback prospect who will likely fight with Matt Barkley for the top overall QB prospect slot in the months leading up to the draft. This year, Smith has completed 71 percent of his passes and has 37 touchdowns against 5 interceptions on the year.

The Mountaineers finish their Big 12 schedule against the Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday.
