NFL Power Rankings 2012: Chiefs still looking up at rest of the league

The Kansas City Chiefs remain at No. 32 in SB Nation Power Rankings.

Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs continued their abysmal season with Thursday night's 31-13 loss to the San Diego Chargers, during which they continued their streak of not leading for a single second all season. The Chiefs' lone win came on a last-second, overtime field goal to beat the New Orleans Saints. With that dubious distinction comes another: yet another week at the very bottom of SB Nation's weekly NFL Power Rankings.

NFL Editor and admitted Chiefs fan Joel Thorman channels his inner-Ron Burgandy to make peace with the Chiefs' place among the league's bottom-feeders:

32. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 32, 1-7): Still haven't led for one second in regulation this season. As a Chiefs fan, I'm not even mad. That's impressive.

The Chiefs aren't any higher elsewhere around the Web. Kansas City is also No. 32 in the latest NFL.com Power Poll and in CBS Sports' NFL Power Rankings. NFL writer Pete Prisco thinks Romeo Crennel's days are numbered:

"This is a disaster. Heads will roll after the season, and they should."
