Chiefs vs. Broncos injury report: Jamaal Charles, 7 others miss practice for Kansas City

A whole host of starters for the Chiefs did not practice on Wednesday. Some are in doubt for the season finale against the Broncos.

USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is among eight players who missed the team's practice on Wednesday.

Charles did not participate due to an illness, as was the case for linebacker Tamba Hali and offensive lineman Donald Stephenson. Offensive starters Branden Albert (back), Ryan Lilja (back) and Tony Moeaki (head) were also held out, as was defensive tackle Tyson Jackson (foot). Backup wide receiver Terrance Copper (knee) was sidelined on Wednesday, as well.

Offensive linemen Russ Hochstein (back), Jon Asamoah (thumb) and Rich Ranglin (knee) went into practice banged up but were listed as full participants. In addition, defensive backs Eric Berry (hand) and Abram Elam (quad) are listed on the Week 17 injury report but did not miss any action in practice.

The Broncos (12-3) and Chiefs (2-13) will kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo. The game will be televised on CBS.
