Each of the first two quarters from Cleveland Browns Stadium has started with a touchdown, and at halftime, the Browns lead the Kansas City Chiefs, 10-7.
After winning the initial coin toss, Cleveland elected to defer and kick off to Kansas City. Jamaal Charles promptly took the first possession 80 yards for a touchdown to give the Chiefs the lead before the crowd had even settled into their seats.
The early 7-0 lead, however, would not stand.
Cleveland drew closer midway through the quarter when Phil Dawson connected from 23 yards out to make it 7-3. That was Dawson's 300th career field goal.
Going into the second quarter, the Browns had a chance to receive, and they took their first lead of the game in a hurry. Travis Benjamin returned the punt 93 yards for a touchdown to make it 10-7, and that's where we stand at halftime.
With the second half upcoming, the Chiefs might also be shorthanded. Their leading receiver, Dwayne Bowe, left the game early with a rib injury and his return is questionable. Charles also hurt his ribs, but was able to return to the game.
