Kansas City Chiefs Hire Jack Bicknell Jr. To Coach Offensive Line

After hiring former Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, new Kansas City Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel rounded out his offensive staff with the hiring of New York Giants assistant offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. to run the Kansas City offensive line.

Bicknell, a 49-year old who was a center at Boston College in the 1980's, began his career in college before moving up to the NFL ranks when the Giants hired him in 2009.

Now, for the first time, he will be given control over an NFL offensive line in Kansas City.

The Giants struggled running the ball this year, but their offensive line was able to keep Eli Manning upright, allowing him to lead them to an unlikely Super Bowl championship.

The Chiefs will be counting on Bicknell's unit to keep returning starter Matt Cassel healthy and pave holes for star RB Jamaal Charles, who missed most of last season with a serious knee injury.
