2012 NFL Free Agency: Stanford Routt Visiting Chiefs, According To Report

The Kansas City Chiefs will reportedly receive a visit from free agent cornerback Stanford Routt on Tuesday according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora. Routt has also been linked to the Bills, Titans, Cowboys and Texans.

Routt played in all 16 games for the Oakland Raiders this season and recorded 56 tackles and four interceptions on the season. Currently Routt is probably the best free agent corner available before free agency begins on March 13 which could drive up his asking price.

The Chiefs have a similar player in cornerback Brandon Carr who is also a free agent this offseason. If Kansas City is unable to retain Carr then they could potentially turn to Routt or someone like him as a replacement.
