NFL Mock Draft 2012: Jonathan Martin Is Penciled In At No. 11 To Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs face a bit of a conundrum coming into the NFL Draft in April. At pick No. 11, they are poised to take an exceptional player in a talent-heavy draft class. However, their biggest position of need is offensive tackle, which happens to be a position of need for two teams ahead of them on the board.

SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber has the Chiefs taking Stanford offensive tackle Jonathan Martin at the No. 11 pick, but that's contingent on the Carolina Panthers not changing their mind on taking a defensive tackle versus an offensive tackle.

Martin is another prospect who could earn way more attention after this week. Attention or not, he is a talented prospect that would upgrade the Chiefs offensive line. An improved front five would also help the team bluff its way through one more year of Matt Cassel at quarterback.

The Chiefs have also targeted Alabama tailback Trent Richardson at the No. 11 spot to pair up with Jamaal Charles in the backfield.
