It might become the first of many if the Green Bay Packers remain as dominant as they were in 2011. Even though the team failed to advance to their second straight Super Bowl, their incredible year overall in 2011 was something to behold and it's clear the passing attack of the Packers is second to none -- even that of New England or the New York Giants. That's the reason that Aaron Rodgers is hoisting the NFL MVP Trophy this weekend, one that might be the first of many.
↵From NFL.com, "Rodgers earned 48 votes to two for New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees in balloting by a nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the NFL. The Packers star is the first Green Bay player honored since Brett Favre concluded a run of three straight seasons as MVP in 1997."
↵Brees was given Offensive Player of the Year, so there was at least some consolation for the Saints quarterback.
