After being denied the opportunity to be the next offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, the thought that's circulating around is the possibly of Chiefs quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn leaving the organization. Zorn, who was passed over for Brian Daboll to be the Chiefs offensive coordinator, was also denied the opportunity to interview for the Chicago Bears quarterbacks coach position.
"I hope that Jim stays," Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said Tuesday, via the Kansas City Star. "I know that any time you’re interviewed for the coordinator job, you have hopes of getting it, and it didn’t work out for him here at this time. But I told Jim that I wanted him to stay and hoped that he would stay. And I expect him to stay. I don’t know what else might happen for him, but if nothing happens for him, then I expect him to be there."
Zorn could also want a move due to the unstable situation at quarterback for the Chiefs. Matt Cassel's still the starter, but the organization has come out and said that it will be competition in training camp.
