NFL Mock Draft 2012: Riley Reiff Falls To Chiefs In First Round

In Albert Breer's latest mock draft over at NFL.com, the Kansas City Chiefs finally get their man in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft with Riley Reiff falling to them at No. 11 overall. Typically a mock draft will have Reiff going somewhere in the top 10, just out of reach for the Chiefs since several teams will be looking for help along the offensive line to protect the blind side of the quarterback, starting with Matt Kalil who will likely go at No. 3 overall to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Chiefs are helped in Breer's mock by Ryan Tannehill landing with the Miami Dolphins at No. 8. That knocks another player down the list and gets the Chiefs the player they need the most. Breer writes, "Scott Pioli finally invests to take care of his tackle problem, snagging a Kirk Ferentz-coached player he'll have good intel on"

Reiff is another steady Iowa offensive lineman that the Chiefs hope will turn into another longtime Iowa lineman currently on the team in Casey Wiegmann. If he can plug the hole for a decade at right tackle for the Chiefs, that would be an ideal draft scenario.
