The Kansas City Chiefs are securing some of their top assets this week as inside linebacker Jovan Belcher could be looking at an increased role for the 2012 NFL season.

If any team comes in and offers Belcher a contract and Belcher decides to accept the contract, then the new team must surrender that level of a pick (based on whatever round tender is offered) back to the Chiefs. Its not believed that Belcher will demand heavy attention, but it does show how much they value him if they request a 2nd-rounder for the linebacker out of Maine.
Belcher finished with 61 tackles in 16 games this season.
