NFL Free Agency Update: Pierre Garcon To Redskins, Vincent Jackson To Bucs

Adam Schefter usually has the latest word on, well, everything NFL related and the latest news he has coming out from the wide receiver ranks is that Pierre Garcon has found a home with the Washington Redskins. This comes on the heels of news that Vincent Jackson will land a big contract with Tampa Bay, taking out two of the best wideout targets on the market within the first few minutes.

The Garcon move will give Robert Griffin III another wide receiving target that he needs and keep him in play with Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney. Griffin is widely expected to be the Skins’ first choice in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Jackson is leaving a void with the San Diego Chargers in his wake as he heads to the NFC to try to give the Bucs new life and Josh Freeman a top notch target. At one point not too long ago, the Bucs were a young team on the rise and Jackson could help that offense become very dynamic if the pieces come together for Greg Schiano.
