The Washington Redskins cannot stop pulling the trigger and the New Orleans Saints are hoping to replace one star with another in the latest free agency updates from around the NFL.
First the Redskins, who have already reportedly signed Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan to free agent deals are reportedly in on another wideout. Yes, you read that correctly. The team with Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney and Leonard Hankerson on the roster is now looking at Broncos wide receiver Eddie Royal to add for Mike Shanahan’s offense, per Mike Lombardi. The move is questionable for sure, but there’s nothing official there. Remember, it’s also Dan Snyder’s money.
From the offensive line market, Ben Grubbs, the star guard of the Ravens, is reportedly heading to the New Orleans Saints for a visit there. The Saints are trying to likely find Carl Nicks’ replacement, since he is linked to the Bucs. It’s a back and forth that would end up a nice consolation prize for the Saints if they can replace Nicks with Grubbs.
