Before he could make his scheduled visit to Kansas City, free agent TE John Carlson reportedly agreed to terms with a contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Friday:

A second round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2008, the 6'5 250 TE had a strong start to his career, accumulating 137 receptions, 1,519 yards and 15 TD's in his first three seasons.
However, he suffered a serious concussion in the Seahawks 2011 playoff game, forcing him to miss the entire 2012 season.
The Kansas City Chiefs were targeting the Notre Dame product in free agency, but the Minnesota Vikings were apparently able to swoop in ahead of them and lock up Carlson before he had a chance to visit Kansas City.
