According to a report by ESPN's Bill Williamson, free agent running back Mike Tolbert is still scheduled to visit the Kansas City Chiefs even after running back Peyton Hillis agreed to a deal with the team earlier on Wednesday.
While HIllis' signing will no doubt affect the Chiefs potential offer to Tolbert, Kansas City could be looking to protect itself with Jamaal Charles coming off of a injury. Still while two running backs might be a solid committee, three would likely lead to a very crowded backfield and could result in a significant loss of carries for Charles which would be less than ideal.
Tolbert figures to have several more teams interested in him so it is very possible that he will visit the Chiefs but opt to go somewhere else where there would be potentially more playing time available.
