NFL Free Agency: Marcus Trufant Visiting Denver Broncos Per Adam Schefter

The Denver Broncos are getting a visit from some secondary help this weekend as Adam Schefter reports that Marcus Trufant will be in Denver for a visit on Friday. The former Seattle Seahawks cornerback would help a secondary that’s a little thin, although it’s uncertain how much Trufant would have left.

Trufant was let go after an injury plagued year in 2011 left him active for only four games. He had 20 tackles to go with 1 interception last year and played in 10 games in 2009. With health concerns and at 31 years old, Trufant’s best days are definitely behind him. That doesn’t mean, however, that he would not have add value to the Broncos roster.

Trufant’s best season came back in 2007 when he had 7 interceptions for Seattle. He made the Pro Bowl that year and has 21 total career interceptions.
