The Kansas City Chiefs are presumably still meeting with Eric Winston to solve their right tackle woes and tackle Marcus McNeill is reportedly set to visit as well. But next in line early next week is Jerricho Cotchery, a wide receiver who spent last year with the Pittsburgh Steelers after several seasons with the New York Jets.
Cotchery is making the rounds and the Jets already have indicated they want him back. However the Chiefs have scheduled a visit and Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News says the visit should happen on Monday or Tuesday. Cotchery would likely grab the fourth receiver spot and become an asset on special teams as well.
It should not be discounted that Cotchery can be a dynamic receiver. He never had less 820 receiving yards from 2006-09. The Chiefs also franchised Dwayne Bowe this offseason, so he would join Bowe, Jon Baldwin and Steve Breaston in the Chiefs wide receiving corps.
