The Madden 2013 cover vote contest is underway over at ESPN, and this year, Kansas City's representative in the tournament is wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Bowe beat out Derrick Johnson for the honor of representing the Chiefs in the contest.
↵Bowe had a solid, though unspectacular, year in 2011, as he hauled in 81 receptions for 1,159 yards, but only caught five touchdown passes in 2011 -- down from his total of 15 in 2010. It's somewhat of a surprise that Bowe even earned one of the No. 11 seeds in the tournament, given he didn't enjoy an outstanding 2011.
↵It's unlikely that Bowe will advance past the first round, though, as he has a tough first-round opponent: Calvin Johnson. Not only does Johnson have one of the best nicknames in the NFL, but he's one of the best receivers in the game, and just inked the richest contract in NFL history.
↵Still, upsets can happen. Chiefs fans have until March 28 to vote for Bowe, and can cast their votes over at ESPN's Sports Nation page.
